Charlottesville, which was full of violence and killed one person.

In a rally
that took place since August 12, 2017, a woman was killed when a car crashed
against protesters from in Charlottesville. Perpetrators allegedly came from a
white supremacist group.
The white
supremacist group held a demonstration entitled "Unite the Right" to
challenge the city's decision to bring down the statue of Robert E Lee in
Charlottesville - the commander of the American Confederate military (CSA)
during the US Civil War (1861-1865).
The US Civil
War (1861-1865) was a war between the US (northern states) and the CSA
(southern state). The armed conflict was due to different views on the issue of
slavery.
At that
time, the US in the northern states opposed slavery, while the CSA supported
slavery. The divergence of the view led to the southern states, one of them
Virginia, forming a Confederate state.
Meanwhile, a
group of opposition demonstrators are fighting against protests by white
supremacists in a Virginia demo. The opposition considers that the actions of
the supremacy group seem to revive the Civil War memories and racialism issues.
