North Korea Threaten to Shoot Missiles into Guam, Pastor: Guam May Be Small, but Our Faith Is Bigger

Catholics in Guam hold a prayer for peace, in the capital city of Hagatna, Sunday (13/08/2017). The worship was held in the shadow of North Korea's missile threat. Archbishop Guam Michael Byrnes, who led the event, called for "caution" amid mounting war of words between the United States and Pyongyang.

"People should pray for a just resolution, as well as caution in words and actions," said Michael Byrnes, as quoted by AFP. Byrnes also reminded the international call for US President Donald Trump to refrain from spreading his statements. Although many people make Guam the center of attention following the North's threat, many people say they are not affected. "I'm really not afraid, because when it's time we die, then that's when we die," said Sita Manjaras (62), a retired teacher from Tamuning.

 Meanwhile, Father Mike Crisostomo said the response of the ummah in facing such threats is simply by holding on to faith and continuing to pray. "It will show to other worlds, to other countries, that Guam may be small, but our faith and beliefs are bigger," Crisostomo said. Dora Salazar (82), who traveled 14 kilometers from Mangilao Village to attend the event admitted to praying for North Korean leader Kim Jong-Un.

"We pray that God touches his heart," Salazar said. What's with Guam? North Korea has spurned and vowed to crush Guam, an island in the Pacific Ocean, which is one of the US military bases. Developed in the Gulf War I, THAAD was tasked with destroying missiles without warheads, but with collisions of kinetic energy.
The US also intends to put THAAD on the South Korean border. Not the first time North Korea threatened to attack Guam. Moreover, the small island is also within the range of Hwasong-8 missile, which although estimated to be able to devour a distance of 6,000 km, only fly as far as 1,000 km in trials early last year. Karena itu, RA menghubungi korban lewat SMS dan meminta bertemu untuk memeluk dan menciumnya yang terakhir kali. “Korban membukakan pintu untuknya. Nike Ardila adalah penyanyi terkenal disekitar tahun 1990 . Ia meninggal akibat kecelakaan tragis pada hari minggu tanggal 19 maret 1995. Kematiannya mengejutkan para fansnya diseluruh Indonesia.
